Year two of business - Mwezi Blu is growing!!

Hi there! It has been a good while since our first blog post. It is time for an update!

The past year of business has been challenging yet extremely rewarding. We are thrilled to share some exciting updates!

Here is what has been happening at Mwezi Blu:

1. Introducing NEW designs to our beloved Pamodzi collection.

Pamodzi meaning 'together' is an exciting collaboration with skilled Kenyan brass-smiths, who up-cycle old brass taps, pipes and padlocks. These talented artisans, with their mastery of traditional techniques, transform the brass into exquisite, handcrafted pieces of jewellery. Pamodzi collection features a fusion of brass, leather, and Ankole horn from Uganda. Inspired by our home - the South Luangwa Valley, and the calm and quiet flow of the Luangwa River this collection is a tribute to timeless elegance and traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is designed to complement every style and occasion, while sharing the story of Africa.

2. Building a New Shop: One of the most significant steps forward for us has been the decision to expand physically by building a brand-new shop in the very special South Luangwa Valley. This endeavor is a very big step for our small business, which will bring back most rewards for our team. Soon to be open, our shop will consist of an atelier for the guests and a fully equipt professional jewellery workshop, where our staff will be able to learn everything about jewellery making.

Stay tuned as we progress with construction updates and the grand opening!

3. Welcoming New Stockists: We are proud to announce that our hand-crafted jewellery pieces are now available at several new stockists. This expansion allows us to connect with more customers from Zambia and beyond. We are grateful for the support from other Zambian businesses and lodges!
